servicing your car

In Malaysia, your car may be your second biggest investment. The first being your house of course. Unlike house, a car depreciates. Therefore periodic maintenance is a must to ensure your car serves you the way it should. Servicing your car punctually also ensure you that the lifespan is stretched longer.

Engine is as the heart to your car. Proper care is required.

Servicing your car means sending it for an engine oil change. Commonly the engine oil need to be changed every 5000km if you are using normal or semi synthetic oil. Where else if you upgrade your engine oil to Fully Synthetic, the interval between services is 10,000km. Together with this oil change, the oil filter need to be replaced with a new one too.

The mechanic may check your brake and clutch ( manual cars) and gear too. These few items are the most common wear and tear items. All these three require lubricant and it may run out too and need to be refiled every two service session. A random check on the tyres should be done too.

It's not easy owning a car in Malaysia. It's silly to save on servicing as it determines your safety when driving.
